Jamar Taylor

All offseason Cardinals fans were clamoring for improvement at the cornerback position.  Honestly, we’ve been asking for it for a few years now.

The Cardinals did address the position in the draft but they needed a veteran to challenge for the starting spot opposite Patrick Peterson.  So, the Cardinals went out and traded for Taylor with the Cleveland Browns.

Taylor enters his sixth season in the NFL.  He started with the Miami Dolphins.  He has an astounding 23 passes defensed to go along with his 119 tackles over the last two seasons in Cleveland.

Remember, he did that in Cleveland.  Although he didn’t have any interceptions last season and just three in 2016, the guy is active.

Next: Arizona Cardinals still waiting on David Johnson

Taylor may just be the guy the Cardinals were looking for.  They didn’t have to give up the farm to get him.  Let’s just hope is he the guy here because the number of guys that have tried and failed to take hold of the second starting spot at corner is a pretty exhaustive list over the last few years.
