Christian Kirk

The first time he touched a football in his professional career on the playing field, he almost went house.  Playing in front of hometown family and friends, he almost broke a kickoff return for a score.

As he started running down the right side of the field, he had a lot of open space in front of him.  He only had one guy to beat, the punter.  Unfortunately, Kirk was his own worst enemy on the play.

He juked himself out, tripped over his own feet and had to settle for a 38-yard run to the Chargers 45-yard line.  Missed it by that much!

He caught two passes for nine yards but then again from a receiving stand point, the Cardinals didn’t seem to be trying to do much.  Hopefully he will get more of a chance down the road here.

Although he had just the one punt return, it would seem the Cardinals have their guy for the job.  Rashad Ross also had two opportunities to run punts back.
