Josh Rosen

When we saw Rosen last week against the Los Angeles Chargers, he looked much like a guy playing his first NFL game.  Not all of it was his fault however.

The backup offensive line did him no favors.  After that, head coach Steve Wilks indicated that Rosen would get some time with the first unit.

He did and it worked.  It worked better than we could have expected for only being Rosen’s second NFL game.

Rosen went 10-16 for 107-yards and no interceptions.  His quarterback rating was 102.  That’s pretty darn good.

Now, we know it is preseason, so as I’ve said before, don’t get too high or too low on a guy.  But certainly adjustments work.

Rosen struggled, the Cardinals made adjustments by letting him play with starters and the Cardinals moved the ball and put points on the scoreboard because of it.  Now let’s see it again.

This will be the time for Rosen to show what he can do.  Chances remain good that he will be needed at some point in the regular season but this is still Sam Bradford’s job to lose for now.
