Quarterbacks (3)

Look for the Cardinals to keep three quarterbacks.  Sam Bradford is your starter, for now.  Of course anything can happen between now and the end of preseason but don’t look for the meter to change with this one.

Josh Rosen is likely going to be the backup.

Sam Bradford, Josh Rosen, Mike Glennon

It still appears that Bradford will be the starter.  He played just one series in the preseason opener but played almost a full quarter last Friday in New Orleans.

He was a perfect 6-6 against the Saints.  As long as he is healthy and performing and the Cardinals are in the playoff hunt, he should remain the starter.

As for Rosen, there is no doubt he will be the backup to Bradford.  There is no doubt he played much better with the first unit against the Saints than he did with the backups against the Chargers.

Rosen still has a lot to learn and you’d like that to be on the sidelines for as long as possible.  If Bradford is still this team’s starter half way through the season, things are going well.

As for Glennon, an injury kept him out of the Saints game.  He didn’t play particularly well against the Chargers.  Chad Kanoff played better than Glennon did in preseason week one.

Kanoff could play his way onto the practice squad but for now, expect Glennon to be the third quarterback for this team.
