Defensive tackles

Corey Peters – He has spent part of this preseason beset by more injury.  He has been on the injury report this week.  However his experience and his play when he is able to get out there is second to none.

Peters is a team captain and hopefully will have a chance to play this week and every week.  There is no overstating what a guy like Peters can do for a young team.

Robert Nkemdiche – Some have given up on him.  However, that has not happened yet on this end.  However injuries are keeping him on the sidelines again.

He spent the last couple of weeks of the preseason on the sidelines and has been limited this week.  He may finally be on his last chance to make a name for himself on this team.

Rodney Gunter – He could be the future for the Cardinals at the tackle.  Gunter sure is a lot of fun to watch.  He had one sack and 17 tackles last season as a backup.

With injuries to Peters, Gunter too should see more action than usual.  Expect to see the Cardinals use Gunter a lot this season.

Olsen Pierre – Pierre had a breakout year in 2017.  He had 30 tackles, 5.5 sacks. If the Cardinals get that or more in 2018, then they will be just fine.

Next. Two Cardinals backups primed to start. dark

Pierre did that in 14 games last season.  However he too has been on the injury report this week, limited in practice.  Hopefully that is not a sign of things to come.
