Budda Baker

You can’t mention the defense on Sunday and not mention the second-year safety.  If you want to talk about a guy involved all day, it was Baker.

He finished the day with 16 tackles.  He was a beast on defense and on special teams.  You can;t stop him, you can only hope to contain him.

Baker had one pass defensed and one of the team’s four sacks on the day.  The sack was his first full sack in a game this season.  He has another half-sack to his credit against the Chicago Bears.

This is the third game Baker has had double-digit tackles.  Baker doesn’t yet have an interception to his name this season but offenses are getting to know him very well.

Next. Cardinals create five turnovers for win. dark

Sometimes you can say if your safety is making a lot of tackles, that can’t be good necessarily.  In Baker’s case it is.  He doesn’t miss many and proved that again on Sunday against the 49ers.
