Trent Sherfield

He hasn’t been mind-blowing, however making the 53-man roster coming out of training camp was not expected when camp started at the end of July.  Some thought maybe a practice squad addition at best.

He doesn’t have big numbers, in fact he’s really only come on here in the regular season over the last two weeks.  What he does provide though is a possible future.

Sherfield should be in the mix for the Cardinals receiving core come 2019.  He deserves at least a shot in camp next year.

Given the current state of uncertainty with the receivers, you can pretty much bet the farm they aren’t nearly ready to part ways with the rookie from Vanderbilt.  He could work his way up to a number three receiver.

His 11-receptions don’t look like much on the stat sheet but in the end he’s here.  He was a relative unknown and now has a chance to make a name for himself.
