9. Zane Gonzalez solidifying kicker position

A big turn of events in the NFL life of Zane Gonzalez in 2018. After many fans wanted the Cardinals to give him a look in the 2017 draft, the Cleveland Browns took him.

He kicked for the Browns in 2017 and was their kicker to start the 2018 season. However after a series of missed field goals he was out as the Browns kicker.

He initially was given a look mid season when Phil Dawson was injured but ultimately the Cardinals decided to sign Matt McCrane to replace Dawson while he was sidelined.

McCrane lasted one game though as Dawson returned. However Dawson got injured again and this time the Cardinals called on Gonzalez.

Gonzalez went 7-9 in field goal attempts as a member of the Cardinals, including two huge ones in week 17 at the Seattle Seahawks. He hit field goals from 50 and 55-yards to keep the Cardinals in the game.

The 55-yard kick tied the game at 24 with under two minutes remaining. Gonzalez has likely become the kicker for the Cardinals going forward as they are also likely to part ways with Dawson this offseason.
