Rodger Saffold

There is going to be interest for the Los Angeles Rams guard most definitely.  Now comes the two things the Cardinals must think about before making an offer.

First, he will get paid.  He will command a valuable contract.  Are the Cardinals willing to spend real money for their offensive line?  It would seem based on the last couple of seasons, it would make sense.

But are they willing to spend it on a guy who is going to be 31 years old in 2019?  He’s only one year younger than Iupati, who will be 32 before the 2019 gets underway.

My colleague mentioned a couple of weeks ago that he would be a good addition and that is agreed.  It will be all about what kind of money they are willing to spend on someone over 30.

It would be quite something though to snag an offensive lineman from a rival divisional team, a Super Bowl participant at that.  Don’t count on an Arizona signing but the Cardinals should at least knock on his door.
