Tariq Cole, OL, Rutgers

You should always be intrigued anytime the Cardinals bring on an offensive lineman.  We know how much bad luck they’ve had with the position over the last several years.

Cole spent five seasons at Rutgers.  He redshirted his freshman year but then played out four more years.

He played special teams in redshirt freshman years, playing in eight games.  He then started 34 games over his last three seasons with the Scarlet Knights.

What may have attracted the Cardinals is his size.  He stands at 6’6, 319 lbs.  He was part of an offensive line that ranked second in the Big Ten last season, giving up just 1.33 sacks per game.

He also helped the Scarlet Knights rush for over 200 yards against Penn State last year.  In addition he also earned some personal honors while at Rutgers.

Next. Kyler Murray shouldn't have a steep learning curve. dark

He was an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten in both 2016 and 2017.  He was a captain for the team in 2018.
