J.R. Sweezy, OL

Any veteran addition to the offensive line seems like a good idea at the time.  As with Gilbert though, Sweezy has some age on him.

He basically was swapped for free agent Mike Iupati, who left the Cardinals as a free agent and went to Sweey’s old team in the Seattle Seahawks.  He played 15 games last season for the Seahawks.

He played in 14 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2017 and in 15 games the year before with the Seahawks.  Health again is not a major issue here.

He was one of the stronger links to a subpar Seahawks offensive line though.  What does that mean for the protection of Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray?

Maybe it is we don’t trust any offensive lineman to come into Arizona and perform well, whether they are a free agent, come over from trade, or a draft pick.  Until this offensive line can perform consistently and protect whoever the quarterback is, there will continue to be skepticism.
