Vs. Deshaun Watson

Why we want to see it: Deshaun Watson and Kyler Murray never faced each other in college. But, both are prolific dual-threat quarterbacks that have won everywhere they’ve played. Each is in college football folklore as the two of the most exciting, winningest quarterbacks in recent memory.

Watson has translated his success in Clemson to Houston. He’s provided the team with their most exciting quarterback in franchise history, and it shows in their now-exciting offense. Though Watson tore his ACL in his rookie year, he’s one of the most promising shot-callers in the league — he’s a Pro Bowler, went to the playoffs, and tallied 4,165 yards and 31 total touchdowns last year.

When it’ll happen: Unfortunately, the Texans and Cardinals play in opposite conferences and faced each other recently. Like with Mahomes, unless the two face each other in the Super Bowl, we won’t see this matchup for a long time.

The Cardinals faced the Texans’ AFC South in 2017, meaning they will re-up the division matchup in 2021. We haven’t seen the Redbirds face Watson yet, but judging by his success with the team and their offensive line revampings, we should see it happen. Hopefully, both sides will be able to protect their young quarterbacks by the time of matchup.
