Vs. Lamar Jackson

Why we want to see it: Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray never faced each other in college. But each shares a similar bond as Heisman Trophy winners and electrifying dual-threat college quarterbacks. Jackson’s running ability showed that it can translate to the NFL, as he took over for Joe Flacco and led the Ravens to an AFC North title in 2018.

Before Murray took the college football landscape by storm in 2018, Jackson did the same in the two seasons prior. He was a Heisman finalist twice and won the award in 2016 when he passed for 3,543 yards and 30 touchdowns and rushed for 1,571 yards and 21 touchdowns. The matchup should be a fun dual of young, quarterbacks that can run.

When it’ll happen: We won’t have to wait too long to see Jackson vs. Murray. The Cardinals will fly up to Baltimore in week two of next season on September 15th. But the matchup won’t just be intriguing because of the quarterbacks; Terrell Suggs may be saying his farewell to the team that drafted him and won a Super Bowl with.

But all eyes will be on the two quarterbacks. Though many are skeptical about Jackson’s long-term outlook in the league, there is little doubt that he will perform head-turning plays with both his arm and legs. Murray should do just the same in what is expected to be his first NFL away game.
