Vs. Sam Darnold

Why we want to see it: Again, Sam Darnold and Kyler Murray didn’t face each other in college. But they are lumped together in the same category as young, potential franchise quarterbacks. People love to compare their youth talent to other team’s; this habit is why a Darnold vs. Murray matchup looks so intriguing.

Darnold had an off-and-on rookie season in New York. After sustaining an injury early in the season, Darnold came back and looked like a different player than before. In his last four games of the 2018 season, the USC product tallied 931 yards and six touchdowns to just one interception.

If we get the exciting Darnold that we saw at the end of the season, the matchup between the two youngsters should be thrilling. Because, what’s not to love about two, young, mobile gunslingers duking it out?

When it’ll happen: Like most of these out of conference matchups, Murray won’t face Darnold next season unless it’s in the Super Bowl, but, we don’t have to wait too long to see it. The Cardinals will face the Jets’ AFC East division in 2020.

The Jets new-look offense should be a fun one to watch too. They’ve added multiple pieces including Le’Veon Bell and Jamison Crowder this off-season to surround Darnold. Though we don’t know how it’ll look on the field, the two quarterback’s may be leading high-profile offenses very soon.
