Ben Roethlisberger

Another player in the same draft class as Fitz.  Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Roethlisberger is going to be playing in just his third game in the regular season against the Cardinals.  There is the Super Bowl matchup we all like to forget about as well.

The last time the two teams matched up against one another in 2015, Landry Jones started in his place due to injury.  Roethlisberger hasn’t faced the Cardinals since 2011.  The Steelers come to Arizona in week 14 on December 8th.

While there has been no indication Roethlisberger intends to retire after this season or even in the next couple of years, the Cardinals won’t play the Steelers again until 2023.  Anything could happen but given his injury history it is hard to imagine him still being active at that time.

In his two regular season starts against the Cardinals, Roethlisberger has thrown five touchdowns and two interceptions.  He has a 1-1 record in his two starts.

Although he didn’t dominate in Super Bowl XLIII against the Cardinals, he still engineered the final touchdown drive to beat them.  It was his only touchdown pass of the game, one that saw him go 21-30 for 256-yards with an interception.
