Cornerback

We talked about it somewhat in our cornerback preview but that fourth and fifth cornerback spot could become contentious.  It could also mean the end for someone like Brandon Williams.

For the first time since he was drafted by the Cardinals, Williams will not be looked at to factor as a starter.  Now he is likely going to have to fight for a spot on the team.

There is finally some depth at corner for the Cardinals heading into camp.  Now, Patrick Peterson‘s absence over the first six weeks might save him for at least that time but Williams may not be able to rely on just special teams skills to allow him to hang around long in 2019.

Williams could be pushed by someone like Deatrick Nichols.  It’s a new regime with Vance Joseph calling the shots on defense.  Does Nichols have enough to be able to push Williams out the door by the end of camp?
