#68 Wayne Morris

Morris was a running back with the Cardinals in all but one season of his career.  He played in St. Louis from 1976-1983.  His last season was played with the San Diego Chargers.

He rushed for 3,387-yards in his career, all but 12-yards with the Cardinals.  Of his 38 career touchdowns, 37 were in St. Louis.

He finished fourth in the NFL in rushing touchdowns in 1977 with eight scores. Not only was he a reliable back, he also showed his versatility as a receiver.

Of his 156 career receptions, 151 came with the Cardinals which resulted in also scoring five touchdowns.  He added five touchdowns receiving, one of which came in that ’77 season where his nine total touchdowns were good for sixth overall in the NFL.

He was also a kick returner.  Although he wasn’t a full-time returner, he still took 15 returns back for a total of 300-yards, a 20-yard average.
