Special Teams

As much as it seems the Cardinals are covered here on the surface, are they really?  For some reason they brought in competition for punter Andy Lee.  Ryan Winslow comes in and he does not seem like just another camp body as he can kick the ball.

At kicker people seemingly still aren’t sold on Zane Gonzalez.  However he did a great job after the Cardinals added him to the roster late in 2018.  He made three 50-yard plus field goals in week 17 against the Seahawks last season.

The coverage teams took a little hit early on.  Brandon Williams went on the PUP list, so he is someone to pay attention to.  It may be his only shot at making the team.

The Cardinals have a number of candidates on the team with speed that can be kick and/or punt returners.  Pharoh Cooper, Patrick Peterson, T.J. Logan all have fantastic speed.  We’ll see how they fit in there, if at all.

The only certain thing right now seems like long snapper Aaron Brewer.  He has solidified that position after a very shaky transition three seasons ago.
