Cornerback

The Cardinals are still looking for who is going to start in place of Patrick Peterson while he is on suspension for the first six weeks of the regular season.  Last week we got a good look at Chris Jones but it may not be as extensive as week one.

The jury is still out on Jones on whether he will be in the mix along side Robert Alford but it’s not sounding like it after comments made on Monday. Tramaine Brock also is in the mix.  Rookie cornerback Byron Murphy was behind the mix right due to his injury but now it sounds like he still has a decent shot at the starting role.

However Kingsbury did say that he was going to cut some of Peterson’s reps to give more to Brock and Murphy.  There wasn’t a mention of Jones, so it could be down to those two that could end up starting alongside Alford once September 8th rolls around.
