Reduce penalties

One of the other things we typically see during the preseason are a lot of penalties.  You have a lot of guys who are new to the league or are getting used to new rules.

Guys are not used to playing with each other.  However last week the Cardinals had nine penalties to go along with the Chargers 10.

Having nine isn’t extremely bad but it also isn’t too good.  The Cardinals need to work on reducing penalties as they need every advantage they can get at this point.

Mental mistakes are the ones that usually hurt the most.  For example, the penalty we mentioned earlier with KeeSean Johnson stepping out of bounds and being the first to touch the ball back in bounds on the catch.

Those are drive killers because they not only is a loss of yardage but it is a loss of down.  They should learn and now is the best time to do so.
