Pete Robertson

For the second consecutive week, the first-year player out of Texas Tech showed why he should be considered for a spot come roster cut down time Labor Day weekend.  Robertson made himself known once again just as he did against the Chargers in week one of the preseason.

Robertson had two tackles but both of them were for losses.  One of those tackles was a sack of Raiders quarterback Mike Glennon.  It was the only Cardinals sack of the evening.

Robertson is currently listed as the backup to Terrell Suggs at linebacker.  However that puts him in the top eight.  Looking at the backups at each of the linebacker positions, there is no way Robertson shouldn’t be considered the sixth or seventh guy.

If the Cardinals decide to go at least seven deep, then Robertson should have a spot on the 2019 Cardinals roster.  Two more games for Robertson to validate that thought.
