Week 4: September 29th vs. Seattle Seahawks

TV: FOX 1:05 PM

We will get our first look at Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray in the same game.  Many compare the two but Murray of course has a long way to go.

Last time: Two close contests in 2018.  The last one was in week 17 of the 2018 season.  The Cardinals came from behind thanks to three Zane Gonzalez field goals of 50+ yards.  However it was not enough as the Cardinals defense could not stop the Seahawks on their last drive and went down to defeat 27-24.

They also had a close match in Glendale last September.  The Cardinals held a lead until the end and lost 20-17 to the Seahawks on a last second field goal.

Key players: As always it comes down to Wilson and whether the Cardinals can contain him.  They typically do a better job on him up in Seattle.  The Cardinals have not defeated the Seahawks in Glendale since 2012 in Wilson’s debut.

The middle of the Seahawks defense is still strong with the presence of Bobby Wagner.  He usually is up to the task when the two teams tango in the desert.  It might come down to the kickers again.  Paging Mr. Gonzalez.

Prediction: Cardinals 19 Seahawks 17

The games in Glendale have been low scoring over the past few years.  For now, there is no reason to believe otherwise.  However, again we have a new offense in Arizona, so who knows?
