Trent Sherfield

The surprise of the receiving room in training camp and preseason.  Heck, he may have been the biggest surprise of the entire locker room this summer.

Sherfield was likely marked as not making the 53-man roster when training camp and preseason started.  He certainly wasn’t on ours.

He came up with big receptions in the preseason however.  His biggest catches came from backup quarterback Brett Hundley however.  So it will be interesting to see how he works with Kyler Murray in the regular season.

Fantasy value: Tread lightly.  What you see in the preseason usually doesn’t translate to what you see in the regular season.  It won’t be because of Sherfield’s doing but because there will be others getting the playing time.

Guys like Fitz and Kirk sat out much of the preseason.  Sherfield took advantage to put on performances to make the team.  Let’s see how it all pans out.
