Better play calling

Even coach Kliff Kingsbury in his post game presser and interview said that he got a little too cute with the play calling early on.  He did put the mistakes on him and said he needs to do better.

Yes, he finally started making some good calls later on but early mistakes certainly cost the Cardinals points.  There was one glaring example on the Cardinals first field goal down 17-0.

The Cardinals had the ball on the one-yard line after running back David Johnson narrowly missed the end zone running out of bounds.  Replays show however the officials got the call correct.

Instead of just pushing it into the end zone on the next play with Johnson (or another back), he tried a sweep around the other end with Murray and it failed.  It cost the Cardinals a chance at a touchdown and had to settle for a 20-yard Zane Gonzalez field goal.

This should improve though going forward, at least that is the hope given the result on Sunday.  The Cardinals will not be able to continue with long periods of poor play calling.  Not everyone will let them back into games like the Lions did.
