Almost.  The Indianapolis Colts took the Los Angeles Chargers to overtime in Los Angeles on Sunday, falling just short 30-24.

Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who took over for Andrew Luck, who abruptly retired a couple of weeks ago, went 21-27 for 190-yards and two touchdowns.  The Colts defense came up big as well, sacking Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers four times.

Still in the end, it wasn’t good enough as the Chargers rolled down the field for a touchdown in their first overtime drive.  The Colts should go home feeling somewhat good about themselves.

The big star though was Colts running back Marlon Mack.  He rushed 25 times for 174-yards and a touchdown.  His totals included a 63-yard run which resulted in his only touchdown.

It’s never fun to lose but there seems to be hope here.  Hope may find an obstacle at home on Sunday in week 2 however against the Tennessee Titans.  We shall see what happens there.
