Chase Edmonds

Seriously, Cardinals running back Edmonds may be a viable option.  His projection in Yahoo.com Fantasy this week is only 6 points.  However those projections usually never hold true.

David Johnson has a bad back.  His status is up in the air for Sunday.  Even if Johnson is a go, Edmonds could still see a greater load against the Falcons.

Edmonds had a 37-yard touchdown run against the Bengals.  The guy knows how to get the job done.  If they get in the red zone, they typically are more apt to use him even when Johnson is at full health.

It is a gamble for sure.  Play this one by ear though.  You can grab Edmonds now and stash him on your bench.  If it turns out that Johnson is a gametime decision, then you’ll have to ride it out until Sunday afternoon.

However if is status is questionable or doubtful for Sunday, Edmonds is going to be the featured back.  The Cardinals ran for 266-yards last Sunday.  Sure 93 came from quarterback Kyler Murray but between Johnson’s 91 and the 68 Edmonds provided, imagine what Edmonds gives you taking Johnson’s numbers.
