Special teams

The Cardinals took the special out of special teams on Sunday.  They had a couple of blunders that could have really hurt them in the end.

One of the blunders cost them points immediately.  Cardinals punter Andy Lee had a punt blocked and recovered in the end zone for a touchdown by Giants and former Cardinals running back Elijhaa Penny for their second score of the game.

The Cardinals never had anything going on that drive.  The play before the blocked punt, Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had taken a 15-yard sack.

That was even more of a reason to ensure a good punt was on.  The sack left Lee little wiggle room as the Cardinals were pinned at the own 4-yard line and Lee punting from his own end zone.

Cardinals kick returner Pharoh Cooper also muffed a punt when he looked down while fielding a punt.  Cooper got it back, ending up lucky there were no Giants around within 10-yards to pick it up.
