3 Arizona Cardinals who shined vs San Francisco 49ers
By Scott Allen
Kyler Murray
It was a struggle early on but in the end Murray’s feet and passing ability confirmed he is going to be a legitimate star in this league for a long time. Sure, he made a few mistakes and got away with an almost interception that would have turned into a pick-6.
In the end though he did not turn the ball over. He was 17-24-241-yards including a beautifully thrown pass to receiver Andy Isabella in the fourth quarter that lead to an 88-yard touchdown to keep the Cardinals in the game.
Murray’s passer rating was 130.7. That’s pretty darn good. He took 3 sacks on the night, just 1 of which appeared to be his fault.
He threw 2 touchdown passes on the night, giving him 9 on the season while still remaining at 4 interceptions. Just 4 interceptions over 9 games for a rookie is pretty darn good if you ask me.
He also ran 5 times for 34-yards and looked good doing it. The only suggestion he should get is learn how to slide better. Most were alright but he had one slide that ended awkwardly. He’ll get better at it.
