Budda Baker

Once again Baker came to play. He has solidified himself this season as one of the top safeties in the NFL.

On Sunday he ended up with 10 tackles, a quarterback hit, and 2 passes defensed.  One of the passes ended a Tampa drive.

Baker came from behind the receiver and punched the ball forward.  It was a thing of beauty.  That was a ball that didn’t need to be intercepted.

Had he gone for an interception on the play, it could have been caught and kept the drive alive for the Bucs.  He could have also easily interfered with the receiver.

Baker had a bit of a down season in 2018 and some started doubting his play.  He has erased all of that thinking this season.  He’s always one of the most active players on the defense.

It’s just too bad the Cardinals don’t have 11 of him out there every Sunday.  If they did, this team might be 6-3-1 instead of 3-6-1.
