Chandler Jones

The Cardinals linebacker is back on track.  He had 13 sacks last season, which in itself was a feat given the state of the defense.

That’s something we can say again in 2019.  However this season, Jones moved back to the position he was in during the 2017 season when he lead the NFL with 17 sacks.

He had 13 in all of 2018, however through 11 weeks in 2019, Jones has 12.5 sacks.  He’s on pace to beat his 17 sacks from 2017.

Jones sometimes has been found to be out of position because of scheme though.  Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph sent him back into coverage against the San Francisco 49ers and it was a definite mis-match.

That has been the exception though this season.  On a defense that again has struggled in 2019, Jones makes it look competent at times.

His play not only betters himself and his numbers but it elevates his fellow linebacks and defensive linemen.  Jones is so much fun to watch and seeing him get excited after making huge plays on the field makes it all that more exciting for the average fan to watch.
