Marcus Gilbert

Certainly a nice player and a nice guy.  However the move to Arizona smelled like trouble from the beginning when the Pittsburgh Steelers traded him to the Cardinals last offseason.

He has not been able to stay healthy, like at all.  He played in 7 games in 2018 and just 5 in 2019 with the Steelers before coming to the desert.

He didn’t even make it to the regular season in 2019.  He was placed on IR after week one last September.

Don’t expect any miracles on Gilbert.  Even if he manages to stick around until camp and the preseason, it is hard to see him making it to the Cardinals active roster come September.

He has played in all 16 games just twice since being drafted out of Florida by the Steelers in 2011.  He has played in 7 or fewer games four times overall since 2011.

Expect the Cardinals to add depth on the line as well in both free agency and the draft.  They need guys who are healthy and younger.
