Devon Kennard

Grade: A

His dad played for the Arizona Cardinals when they were the St. Louis Cardinals and then the Phoenix Cardinals.  He played on the offensive line.  Devon Kennard is a outside linebacker.

Kennard had 7 sacks each of the last two seasons for the Detroit Lions in 2018 and 2019.  He started his career with the New York Giants.

Kennard was born in Tempe and played at Desert Vista High School.  He then went on to college at USC.  He has one career interception and 4 forced fumbles.

While this pickup may have not been an Earth shaker for a number of people nationally, many fans love this pickup locally.  He wasn’t the biggest name out there but he is a good fit for what the Cardinals are trying to accomplish on defense.

Kennard brings good size at 6’3 to the middle of the defense.  A definite plus for the Cardinals in this early offseason.
