Zane Lewis, CB, Air Force

If you had asked at the end of the 2019 season where the Cardinals would go hunting for more talent in the offseason, cornerback would likely be at the top of your list.  The Cardinals though decided to run with Patrick Peterson and it seems Robert Alford as well.

That’s not to mention Byron Murphy Jr on deck. Chris Jones is also there for competition as well.  There may not be a lot of space in the cornerback room but who knows?  The Cardinals just non-tendered Brandon Williams.

Lewis played three seasons at Air Force.  His 2019 season was clearly his best though.  Last season he played in 13 games.

He had 45 tackles and 15 passes defensed.  He’s another guy that goes after it.  Someone like Lewis being given a chance on a team that has struggled at the corner position recently would seem like a story we probably haven’t heard the end of.
