2018 Jacksonville Jaguars

The 2017 Jaguars had finished 10-6 and won the AFC South.  They beat the Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Steelers the first two rounds of the playoffs, in different fashion.

They played the Bills in a defensive struggle.  The next week against the Steelers, it was a shootout.

Naturally, going into 2018, the expectations were high.  Now, the Cardinals didn’t quite have the success in 2019 that the Jaguars had in 2017.

However the expectations for the 2020 Cardinals seem to be just has high as the 2018 Jaguars team.  Combined with the acquisitions in the offseason and the fact they lost a number of games last year in which they held a second-half lead or tied before losing provides the high expectations.

What Cardinals fans should be looking out for though is what happened to the 2018 Jaguars. They finished 5-11 in the AFC South.

Just because the expectations are there for a more more successful 2020 than 2019, doesn’t automatically mean it will happen.  The Cardinals could just as easily go 5-11 as 11-5.
