Sticking with six receivers and going with three tight ends

The Cardinals certainly could have made a case going with seven receivers and two tight ends.  This is not supposed to be a tight end favorable offense, at least from a receiving stand point.  Plus the air raid offense is meant more for receivers.

However tight end Dan Arnold could change that thought.  As he showed at the end of the 2019 season in Los Angeles, he can be an end zone threat.

The Cardinals stuck with just the six receivers, cutting 2019 draft pick Hakeem Butler on Friday.  Butler reportedly struggled for the second consecutive camp.  He went on injured reserve late in camp last year and missed his rookie season.

There is also the chance he makes the practice squad.  Jury is still out there however, at least from a Cardinals standpoint.

Again, this isn’t likely a forever all season thing.  At some point the Cardinals will probably shift things around.
