1. Kyler Murray’s development in year two under Klif Kingsbury.

This one’s pretty obvious huh? Everyone and their mother in sports media has been talking up Kyler Murray heading into year two, pointing to the “second year jump” seen from sophomore quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson over the past few seasons.

The reigning offensive rookie of the year looked spectacular at times, but made his share of mistakes. Overall, they were minimal though, and he protected the football well, which is more than you can ask for rookie quarterbacks in most situations.

Due to the promise he showed last year, Murray is a trendy MVP bet according to many sportsbooks. Murray, the fifth highest odds, is sitting at 16-1 to win the award, tied with Tom Brady of the Buccaneers.

Adding Hopkins to a receiving core of Fitzgerald and Kirk sure helps the hype. If the Cardinals are able to get the ground game going like they were last year, it would be a huge help for the overall efficiency of the offense. It would also mean that they aren’t leaning completely on the young Murray to carry the offense.

Its no secret though that Kingsbury’s offense goes as far as Kyler can take it, and for my money, that can be pretty far.
