Cardinals go 4-2 in the NFC West

This may be the boldest prediction given how tough the division the Cardinals are in.  The NFC West is arguably the toughest from top to bottom.

Every other team in the division has been to the Super Bowl over the past six seasons.  It’s now been 5 years since the Cardinals were in the playoffs and 12 years since their Super Bowl appearance.

In order to get themselves into playoff positioning, winning within your division is a must.  The Cardinals finished 1-5 in the NFC West last season but had chances to sweep the NFC Champion 49ers.

That means they need to get a win in San Francisco this week in week one.  Clearly the Cardinals can still finish 4-2 with a loss this weekend but it puts them in a better position if they do beat the 49ers.

The real hurdle is the Los Angeles Rams.  The Cardinals have not beaten the Rams since a 44-6 whipping in January 2016.  Beating them will be key to a winning record in the division.
