Zane Gonzalez will win a game with a 60-yard field goal

Every season there is that one game.  A lucky bounce here, a lucky bounce there.  Sometimes that includes the kicking game.

Zane Gonzalez was very reliable in 2019.  He was 31-35 on field goal attempts and 34-35 on extra points.  Let’s predict he is going to kick at least one for a game winner this season.

That game winner is also not going to be a give me.  The Cardinals are going to stall on the 43-yard line and will give Gonzalez the chance to win a game with his leg by kicking a 60-yarder.

Coach Kliff Kingsbury doesn’t necessarily like to kick long field goals, rather keeping the offense on the field and going for it if it is 4th and less than 5 to go.  But when it is the potential last play of the game, then he will have no choice but to put Gonzalez out there.

Gonzalez has the leg no doubt.  Don’t be surprised if this game winner comes in a place like Seattle or New England.
