Inspiration

If the Suns finish this thing and win it all in the NBA and get Larry Fitzgerald his ring, that could drive his desire to come out and give it at least one more try with the Cardinals. With the Cardinals so close and the additions they have made this offseason, could we see them make a playoff run like the one we are seeing with the Suns?

Some may argue the exact opposite and say Fitz hangs it up for this reason. He got a ring, just not the one he initially imagined receiving.

The thing is, his Suns ring would be great and all, and certainly he will be proud to get it, but with the Cardinals, he can make his presence felt on the field and physically help the team win the Super Bowl trophy.

Sure, we know the Cardinals have to improve a lot on defense, and at least on paper, they look like they are trying to do that. The young offense can continue to learn a lot about the leadership of Fitz.

Fitz is the Chris Paul of the Cardinals. Suns point guard Paul who is 36, is on the verge of his first championship. Fitz, who turns 37 at the end of August just before the season opens, would be eying his first. Both are proven veteran leaders.
