Arizona’s passing attack vs. Jacksonville’s defense

The Cardinals currently have one of the best air attacks in football, led by third-year quarterback Kyler Murray. If Murray continues to play as he has through the season’s first two weeks, he will find himself in the running for League MVP.

However, let’s give props to the entire passing game, including rookie receiver Rondale Moore, who proved opponents must key on more pass-catchers on offense than just DeAndre Hopkins. And this week, the Cardinals face a Jaguars pass defense that ranks 27th in the league.

The Jaguars have given up just four touchdowns through the air, but they have yet to record an interception. They’re also 27th in net yards gained per pass attempt and 30th in total air yards per completion. They’re also 27th in total pass defense, having given up 295 passing yards per game, and 25th in yards gained per pass completion.

While they have had a decent pass rush throughout the first two games of the season, the sheer number of receiving options coupled with Murray‘s ability to run can negate their front seven. Heading into Week 3, this might be the team’s most favorable matchup.
