4 free agents who the Cardinals could move on from in 2022

Robert Alford – CB
After two injury-plagued campaigns, cornerback Robert Alford was finally giving the Cards some payback on the investment they made on him back in 2019. The 33-year-old more than held his own for a secondary that was playing quite well through a good portion of the current season.
But just when things were going well, Alford proved to be unreliable yet again when he suffered a pectoral injury during a Week 14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. It now appears that the longtime Atlanta Falcons starter could be done for the year, a disappointing conclusion to a season that got off to such a promising start.
At this point in the relationship, Keim would be out of his mind to gamble on Alford again in 2022. There’s a good possibility that the veteran has already played his last game in a Cardinals uniform.
