2021 Team: Kansas City Chiefs

Charvarius Ward went undrafted out of Middle Tennesse State University back in 2018 and became a full-time starter for the Kansas City Chiefs just one year later. The 6-foot-1,195-pounder was originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys, who made the mistake of trading the rookie to the Chiefs.

This past fall, Ward registered 67 tackles, two interceptions, and 10 pass breakups for Kansas City. In 56 total contests (43 starts) for the franchise, the 25-year-old has been credited with 222 tackles, four picks, and 29 pass breakups.

Ward was a starter on the Chiefs squad that emerged victorious in Super Bowl LIV following the 2019 campaign. That type of experience is something that the Cards could definitely use in their defensive backfield.
