The trade that sent Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams sent the NFL world into a frenzy, making claims that they were a guaranteed lock to at least make the Super Bowl, which would be held in their own home in SoFi Stadium.
There are even bolder claims out there, saying that Aaron Donald would come out of retirement in order to make a run with this new-look Rams squad, a team he spent his entire career on and won a Super Bowl with in 2021.
This was the second blockbuster that was facilitated by the brains of Les Snead, as L.A. had already acquired former Kansas City Chiefs’ cornerback Trent McDuffie in exchange for a flurry of picks.
The NFC West has been, and will be, an arms race, with the Rams, Seattle Seahawks, and San Francisco 49ers all coming off twelve-plus win seasons.
This is an arms race that most people have already written the Cardinals out of, after all, they are coming off a three-win season.

But Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. is not concerned, making a statement saying that the Cardinals wouldn’t go down easy.

Coming off an injury-riddled 2025 season where he only appeared in eight games, this is the opportunity for Wilson to put his money where his mouth is and help the Cardinals prove doubters wrong.
2026 will be bumpy, no doubt about that. But all the Cardinals can do is use the criticism as fuel.
