One of the bigger needs for the Arizona Cardinals this offseason is beefing up their offensive line, as aside from Paris Johnson Jr., there is a ton of inconsistency across the board.

In all likelihood, this is a position that general manager Monti Ossenfort will address in the NFL draft this April, but it would not be a surprise if he were to make a signing or two in March to further boost the unit.

The free agent market is pretty weak regarding the position of need, but with teams trying to stay below the $301 million salary cap threshold, opportunities may present themselves ahead of the new March 15 league year.

The Kansas City Chiefs are cutting ties with one of their top offensive lineman, and it would be a complete mistake if the Cardinals didn’t at least attempt a go at him.

Cardinals Should Target OL Jawaan Taylor

The Chiefs' cutting Jawaan Taylor saves them $20 million, and after a disappointing six-win season, a year after making the Super Bowl, it was time for them to make moves on the roster to free up money.

From the Cardinals' side of things, they need to add a lineman who can line up opposite of Paris Johnson Jr., something they lacked this past season. Held by Kelvin Beachum, he was serviceable, but ultimately not the long-term future, considering his age.

As mentioned previously, there are a couple of top offensive line prospects in this year's draft, but it would not be a surprise if Ossenfort were to prioritize depth at the position.

It will be interesting to see what decisions are made this March, but don’t be surprised if the Cardinals shock anyone by making a splash or two.
