Would be an intriguing project for Arizona.

One of the biggest questions that needs an answer is who the Cardinals will field at quarterback in 2026. With Jacoby Brissett not being the long-term answer, and the team hinting at moving on from Kyler Murray, it will be by far the most important need this offseason.

Unfortunately for Arizona, the 2026 quarterback draft class is not as strong as first imagined. Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza headlines the group, and it almost 100% getting selected by the Las Vegas Raiders.

People originally thought that Oregon’s Dante Moore would’ve declared, but the 20-year-old opted to stay at the university for another year.

With Moore staying, there is a major talent dropoff between Mendoza and the rest of the pack. This means that the Cardinals would either need to stick with Murray for another year or sign a veteran on the free agent market.

Monti Ossenfort and the front office should be eyeing one guy in particular, as he helped the Green Bay Packers get into the postseason.

Cardinals Should Look Into Malik Willis

When Jordan Love went down in the second quarter with a concussion against the Chicago Bears, the Packers looked done for. However, an excellent performance by Malik Willis proved to many that the 26-year-old deserved a chance elsewhere. While the Packers lost, Willis balled out.

In two games against the Bears and Baltimore Ravens, Willis accounted for 409 passing yards with two touchdowns. He scored two more touchdowns on the ground, showcasing his dual-threat ability.

If the Cardinals were to sign Willis, it would likely be on a one-year prove-it deal. Nonetheless, Arizona fans should be incredibly excited if they were to bring in Willis.

Free agency can’t come soon enough.
