It was going to take a lot to fix the Arizona Cardinals after the horrible season that transpired in 2025, in which they only recorded three wins. But realistically, it was going to take a few years to get the team back up on their feet and running.
Given the result of the season, the Cardinals really couldn’t have gotten much worse than what they already were. Sure, there were bright spots towards the end of it that could see a decline in 2026, but other than that, it’s only up for everyone else.
Unfortunately for the Cardinals, many believe that the rebuild was set back even more given some of the moves they made. However, as much hate as they have gotten, there are two moves receiving high praise, and it may result in an even faster turnaround than what was originally expected.
"Arizona parted with the talented yet oft-injured Kyler Murray and opted against upgrading its quarterback position. Veteran Jacoby Brissett, who went 1-11 as the Cardinals' starter last season, held out for much of the offseason. Rookie running back Jeremiyah Love, the No. 3 pick in the draft, represents the main bright spot in an offseason of conservative moves." — Donnie Druin

It’s going to take more than this to stop the nosebleed, but Arizona’s offense is in a much better place now than it was this past season.
It will be interesting to see how quickly LaFleur breaks in Jeremiyah Love, but as it stands, these two moves are putting the Cardinals on the right track.
