A three-win season is never a positive by any means, unless your’re playing in the group stage of the World Cup, then its fine. But the Cardinals racked up a whopping total of 14 losses during the 2025 season.

This is obviously a terrible stretch to endure, and it led to a wide variety of change in multiple areas of the club. For starters, the Cardinals fired head coach Jonathan Gannon after only three seasons, as he saw his win total decline by five in a matter of only a year. Arizona also chose to move off of their franchise quarterback in Kyler Murray, who spent seven seasons with the team before signing with the Minnesota Vikings.

2025 was rough, but what’s crazy about it is that nearly half of Arizona’s losses came within their own division, as they went 0–6 in NFC West play.

The NFC West is, and will continue to be, an absolute gauntlet. With the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco 49ers all finishing with twelve plus wins, and the Seahawks winning the Super Bowl, it will not be easy sledding.

Not to mention that all three teams got better, especially the Rams, who made a pair of blockbuster trades that only made their defense all the more better. Spending a total of four draft picks to land Kansas City Chiefs cornerback, Trent McDuffie. As well as trading a first round pick and Jared Verse to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for Myles Garrett.

It will once again not be easy for the Cardinals in 2026, and an 0–6 divisional finish would not be surprising by any means.
