The first two seasons in the young career of Marvin Harrison Jr. have been underwhelming to say the least, considering the fact that he had the “generational talent” trademark stamped on him when coming out of Ohio State in 2024.
His inaugural season in 2024 turned heads, as Harrison appeared in all 17 of the team’s games, logging 62 catches for 885 yards while finding the end zone eight times. It seemed like the start of something special in Arizona, and that’s what makes his second year all the more disappointing.
Not only did Harrison’s numbers decline, but so did his health. In 2025, he missed a total of five games, saw a decrease in yards per game, and only found paydirt four times. Not to mention that during his time off the field, the Cardinals seemed to have found their new wide receiver No. 1 in Michael Wilson, who eclipsed 1,000 yards for the first time in his career and flourished with Harrison out of the lineup.
The question heading into training camp remains who will be the team’s No. 1 option at receiver?

We’ll tell you this: Harrison will definitely start out as the one to begin camp and will probably hold it as we enter the season. But would it be a surprise if Wilson sees more targets? Not at all, and the question remains of whether Harrison can put together a healthy season?
The Cardinals need their receiving core to be as healthy as ever in 2026, as they need to give whoever is under center a little bit of cushioning.
