Tyvon Branch

He pulled off a feat that at one time was an impossibility, ending up on injured reserve twice in one season.  Both times were for the same injury for Branch in 2016.

He injured his groin in week four against the Los Angeles Rams.  He was designated for return, a designation that has only been around a few seasons.

Branch came back in December and promptly re-injured himself, sending him back to injured reserve.  You can’t make this stuff up.

Branch was a relatively low-cost, high-reward pickup as a free agent in the last offseason.  He was needed with the Cardinals unsure about others at safety, namely Tyrann Mathieu.

He’s due to make $3 million this season with a $1 million roster bonus.  It is the second-year of a two-year contract.

If he can stay healthy, he has a chance to stay around.  It is hard to evaluate talent that can’t step on the field though.
