Ryan Lewis, CB, Pittsburgh

If you aren’t going to draft a corner, why not invite more than one as an undrafted free agent into camp?  In addition to Shelton, Lewis is another interesting signing.

Lewis, who was second in total tackles for the University of Pittsburgh last season with 79 tackles, also had two interceptions in 2016.

Lewis stands 6’0, 200, so he stands a bit taller and is a bit bigger than Shelton.  One of Lewis’ picks last season was of Clemson’s DeShaun Watson.  Watson was drafted 12th in the first round by the Houston Texans.

His father Will Lewis played for the Seattle Seahawks for a bit as well in the CFL.  We won’t hold that against him though.

The Cardinals said they liked what they had at corner last week but there has to be competition for guys like Brandon Williams and Justin Bethel.  Both of them struggled in 2016, so it is only prudent to continue to look for the best guy available.
